BALLARDVALE'S OLD FIRE HOUSE

213 Andover Street

Andover, Massachusetts

Located on narrow and busy Andover Street in the historical section of Ballardvale, stands the very old fire house, which is now a private residential home. You can clearly see the original barn style front doors. The opposite side of the building has a side entrance and a side wooden porch. There are no additions to the living space. Very tiny structure situated on a very busy curve in the road.

Past the home, to the right of this photo, will lead you back across the rail road tracks and towards the old post office building. Eventually you will be lead back towards the current fire house for Ballardvale, and miles past that will take you to the Abbot brothers homes.

Pass this home to the left of this photo will lead you, very shortly, to the Old Mansion House, the first railroad station in Andover, and many many old historical homes.

Across the street from this photo, down a sharp incline, stands an old mill, nicely restored and functional. Photos of this, and details of its history will be added soon as well.
